Winona Feed Seed & More is looking to hire an animal-loving employee who also may know (or want to learn) a thing or two about gardening and lawn care! This shift would be mainly afternoon and early evenings (mainly 11am -2pm/5:30pm depending on the day) with some Saturday shifts (10am-2pm). Total hours would be about 15 hours per week.
Required: Desire to be around pets, learn about animal food, lawn care and gardening. Good customer service skills and intermediate computer skills to operate the POS system. Must also be able to lift 50 pounds. Availability to work at least two Saturdays per month.
Preferred: Retail experience or experience with gardening, lawn care or working with animals. Experience or desire to help with social media and marketing.
Job Responsibilities include:
· Learning about the product and working with customers to help them find what they want/need
· Ring up customers using the POS system
· Assist with loading merchandise into customer vehicles
· Unload shipments which includes unloading pallets (bags up to 50lbs) and other merchandise
· Stocking shelves
· Cleaning (mainly sweeping, mopping, taking cardboard and garbage out, and maintaining the store in a clean condition)
· Working with and weighing up grass seed, wild bird seed, flower and vegetable seeds
· Potential for helping with social media and marketing
Starting pay is dependent on experience but would be minimum $13/hour (more depending on experience). Fill out the form below to apply!
